INTRODUCTION TO PASSOVER

Before we begin to examine the ‘timing of events’ that occurred throughout the 32 A.D. Passover Week (Palm Sunday, Nisan 10, 32 AD to Resurrection Sunday, Nisan 17, 32 A.D.) in a chronological order ....it is EXTREMELY important that I first share with you an 'INTRODUCTION TO PASSOVER' so that you may better understand what is meant by the term “Passover”

There has been a great deal of confusion among Christians for many years concerning the ‘timing of events’ related to what is called “Passover”. – And it is especially important for Christians to understand that the word “Passover” can have several different meanings. In some instances, it can refer to:

Passover - The week of Nisan 10 to Nisan 17.

Passover - The actual ‘Feast of Passover’ on Nisan 14…

“In the ‘fourteenth day’ of the first month [Nisan] at even is the Lord’s     Passover.” (Leviticus 23:5)

Passover - The Feast of Unleavened Bread on Nisan 15…

“Now the feast of unleavened bread [Nisan 15] drew nigh, which is called Passover.” (Luke 22:1)

Passover –  The observance of eating unleavened bread (matzo) from Nisan 14 until Nisan 21.

(The Passover is on Nisan 14 according to Leviticus 23:5, the Feast of Unleavened Bread is on Nisan 15 according to Leviticus 23:6, and the eating of unleavened bread continues for seven days until Nisan 21.)

Passover – The word may be used in reference to the ‘actual lamb’ that is killed before observance of the Jewish Feast of Passover and Unleavened Bread.

As you can see for yourself from all the above usage, that there is a great deal of room for error and mistranslations of the word “Passover” when it is used alone without any defining words, i.e., Passover Feast, Passover meal, Passover sacrifice, Passover lamb, etc.

It is important for all Christians to know that Scripture in the New Testaments of BOTH the ‘Protestant and Catholic’ versions of the Holy Bible reveal that ALL THE EVENTS concerning Christ’s last week here on earth occurred in what is called “Passover Week” and NOT in what is called “Easter Holy Week” or "Easter Passion Week".

“Passover” is NOT to be confused with “Easter”!‘Easter’ generally occurs at an ‘entirely different time’ in the Spring of the year than ‘Passover’. – For instance in the year 2021, 'Passover' was celebrated in April and Easter was celebrated in March

It is also important to know that the origin of Easter is ‘entirely pagan’ in nature, and the origin of Passover is entirely 'Biblical'. – If all Christians were to investigate the ‘true origin of Easter’ for themselves they would be absolutely shocked at what they would discover. -- But it is not my purpose to share with you in this ‘Chronology of Christ's Last Passover Week’ all the ‘pagan details’ of Easter Week …my purpose is to share with you the TRUTH directly from Holy Scripture about what happened in the life of Jesus Christ during the Passover Week in which He was crucified on the Cross at Calvary. (I will discuss the ‘pagan details’ of Easter in another article at another time.)

Now being that there is both an “Easter Week”, and a “Passover Week”, and being that they both occur at different times in the Spring of the year ….the question now becomes ..."In which of those weeks was Jesus Christ actually crucified?" -- It is impossible for Jesus Christ to have been crucified on TWO different dates! --The truth is that millions of Christians today are celebrating the observance of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection on ‘pagan holidays’ rather than on the true dates that these events occurred.... and I will prove that fact in this chronology.

Two tragedies have occurred regarding the last Passover Week in which Jesus Christ participated in here on earth in 32 AD...

The ‘FIRST TRAGEDY’ being that Passover Week (the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ) is NOT being celebrated on the actual dates on which the events occurred, rather, they are being celebrated on the pagan holidays of ‘Easter Holy Week’!

The ‘SECOND TRAGEDY’ that occurred during the ‘Passover Week’ of 32 AD is that Jesus Christ [God Himself] was CRUCIFIED as a “Perfect Blood Sacrifice” on a Cross to purchase salvation and forgiveness of sins for all of mankind from His Father. -- Yes, mankind CRUCIFIED GOD on a wooden Cross!

The truth is that most Christians DON’T KNOW what the REAL TRUTH is concerning the timing of Jesus Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection or they wouldn’t be observing and celebrating the days of what is called “Easter Holy Week” as being the week in which Jesus Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection occurred. Millions of Christians, and ‘Professed Christians’ in the world today are NOT giving remembrance to Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem, His last supper with his disciples, His crucifixion, His burial, and His resurrection from death to new life on the ACTUAL DATES on which the events really did happen.

In this chronology of Jesus Christ’s final Passover week, I will be sharing with you the ACTUAL DATES of the most important events (major events)that occurred during Jesus Christ’s final Passover week (NOT Easter Week) here on the earth. The truths I will be sharing with you can be found in BOTH New Testaments of the Protestant and Catholic versions of the Holy Bible.
