Now, before I go any further in this "Chronology of Christ’s Last Passover"...it is of UTMOST IMPORTANCE that you understand that God the Father’s purpose for sending His Son Jesus Christ into this world was to actually ‘FULFILL THE TYPOLOGY” written about His Son in many of the prophecies that were written about Him in the Old Testament Scriptures… including how He would be born into this world, and how He would die.
So, "What is Biblical typology?" – The following quote helps to provide an answer to that question:
[BEGIN QUOTE] - “Typology is a special kind of symbolism. (A symbol is something that represents something else.) . . . . More specifically, a “type” in Scripture is a person or thing in the Old Testament that foreshadows a person or thing in the New Testament.” [END QUOTE].
The “typology”, or “type”, of Christ is revealed in many of the Old Testament happenings in the Bible, i.e., the ‘animal blood sacrifices’ made by the Israelites in the Old Testament were symbolic of the ‘blood of Christ sacrifice’ that Jesus Christ would one day make to ‘permanently cover the sins’ of all of mankind forever, rather than just a temporary covering like the Old Testament animal blood sacrifices.
It is important we all understand that to prove Himself to be the true Jewish Messiah, Jesus Christ would be required to completely fulfill ‘His typology of being the Passover Lamb sacrifice’ in Exodus Chapter 12. -- Yes, it would be necessary that Jesus Christ be killed on the very same date of the Passover celebration that the Jews killed their Passover lambs… Nisan 14! – And that is exactly what happened as we will see further on in this “Chronology of Jesus Christ’s Last Passover Week”.
